Of course the beauty of using a blog to make money is that it’s free to set up unlike a website. A blog is much easier to create (only takes about 5 minutes) than a website for a newbie, too.

“Additional streams of Income” has become the big buzz word on the internet due to the current state of the economy and so many losing their jobs and looking for ways to make money from home. Maybe you haven’t lost your job and just want to make some extra money.

As you may know, there are a lot of scams out there and it’s hard to tell what’s legit and what’s not.  I have been burned countless times buying money making systems that were too hard to understand or implement.   There are plenty of so called internet gurus out there making millions selling programs that people can’t figure out how to do.

If you’ve done any research already you probably have been assaulted by the “hype-y” looking sites telling you to buy now…..I don’t know why that “hype-y” cheesy look is so popular to sell products, but apparently it works! Honestly, it puts me off. If it’s a product I know is a top seller and it’s working ( such as a blogging for money program), I will then go and do a Google search to see what people are saying about it. Of course the competitors like to put up false reviews to steer people away, but if you do a little digging, usually the truth surfaces.
My point is, get used to that hype-y look and realize that it doesn’t mean a product is b.s., it means that research shows that the technique works and YOU may very well use that technique on your blog depending on what you’re promoting.

I’m only going to tell you about solid honest products that are proven (some have the hype-y look, some don’t). I’m going to focus on products that cater to newbies and spell it out plain and simple so you can get started making money quickly.

Please understand that the guys that develop these programs for newbies are smart. It’s in their best interest to help you get started making money for free. Why? because once you do, you will want to upgrade things and buy their more advanced products! It’s smart marketing and you can’t blame them.

A little background about me in case you are wondering…my name is Melanie and I live just outside Austin, Texas.  I have been a free lance landscape designer for the past 13 years and now due to what’s going on with the economy, I have very little work. 2. Quick way to make money with a blog

Important: Using ClickBank is very important to your success.  ClickBank is essentially the online warehouse for all the top products being sold on the internet.  Becoming an affiliate for ClickBank products is newbie internet marketing 101. And, the best part, it’s FREE!

Okay, I know what you’re thinking….I’m not stupid, there’s no free lunch! Very true even with using a free blog to make money. You can get a lot of valuable tools for free that you need to set up your blog to make money, which is GREAT, but you will have to spend just a little to get buying customers. That’s called “driving traffic to your site” and there are free ways to do it and there are some ways that are a small investment (a few cents to $20-?). Research shows that you get what you pay for in terms of getting quality traffic to your blog. You don’t need to worry about traffic until you’ve got things set up, so more on that later.

You don’t actually have to have a product to sell to make great money with your blog. That is the beauty of ClickBank.  The smart people that developed those best selling products need people like me and you to market those hot products for them, and the good news is that they pay you VERY well to do so.  This means that you would promote their products on your blog by inserting a link, or ad, or write a little information about the product. The links on your blog will have your own unique ID that assures you get the commission for the sale.

In a nutshell, when the visitors to your blog click on the link to that product and buy it, you get up to 75% commission on the sale.   Many of the best selling products cost several hundred dollars, so you can do the math on that.

I suggest choosing products that you care about and believe in. It’s easier to sell when you are passionate about how a product is going to improve people’s lives, etc.

Just about any niche you can think of is represented in ClickBank…gardening, making money online, pet care, products for children, health care, fitness, etc. It’s important to pick one niche to market for you blog. You can have as many blogs as you want promoting many different products and that of course = more $$$! For now, just focus on having one blog.

FYI: When I say “sell” I’m referring to promoting the products you choose on your blog.

Once you’ve got your CBMall ID and ClickBank ID you can simply insert those links or ads on your blog and direct traffic to the products you want to make money on, just like I’ve done here. There are a few ways to do this.

If you don’t have a site yet, my advice is to pick a niche you love.  Pick something you are passionate about such as fitness, alternative health, gardening, pets, or of course, internet marketing for newbies!
